Dr Hugh Pritchard from the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst, speaking on Seeds, Science and Society
Dr Pritchard leads Kew’s Seed and Stress Biology Group. Their objectives are to understand the adaptability and resilience of wild species’ seeds, particularly to climate change and to further plant conservation.
He has considerable experience of managing international research projects funded by the EU, NERC and the Darwin Initiative. He is Kew’s lead on the agreements with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Indian Council for Agricultural Research and the main advocate for the development of The Kew Cryosphere.
